misogyny! nazi! rape!
i really do wish that people would make some attempt to regulate the use of words with such heavy connotations. calling a novel mysogynistic because the author is female, and the female lead isn’t constantly making overtures to how independent she is OVERLY SIMPLISTIC. just because you disagree with a certain politician does not equate them to hitler. simply disliking a popular piece of media does not mean it is raping its particular genre. feminism doesn’t necessarily mean that women have to act like men.
life is greatly nuanced, and i think if we could all take a breath and see that, we could all speak more properly and not make me want to close my laptop for the rest of time.
